Building better teams

Employees are the biggest asset of any organization. However, Covid-19 has significantly altered the relationship between employees and organizations. This is primarily due to the remote working culture ushered in at workplaces. Employees are no longer able to gather at the ‘water cooler’ to exchange pleasantries, ideas, or even office rumors in person. Organizations are experiencing employee disengagement and lowered connection with the company culture.

BeSorted Emotional enhancement sessions are carefully designed for employees’ emotional stability and holistic growth. These workshops target employee enhancement for individual growth and improving team dynamics and productivity.

Some of our popular workshops

1. Elements of Professionalism Workshop

What makes one a professional? Is it academic qualification, or is it attitude towards work? Can an illiterate be a professional? Learn about professionalism. This workshop covers:

  • Definition of professionalism
  • What behavior is expected from a professional
  • What professionalism is not

After the workshop, every employee assesses where they stand in terms of professionalism and try to inculcate the suggestions given during the interactive workshop. They work on taking themselves to the next level based on a personalized growth plan.

2. De-stress Distress Workshop

A thought (an automatic thought) comes to our mind. Along with it is associated a feeling. Thought and feeling together make us do a particular behavior. Throughout the day, this thought-feeling- behavior cycle continues relentlessly. This cycle is known as the Triad of Cognition. When a disturbing thought comes to our mind, a negative feeling is attached to it, and we feel low, depressed, angry, resentful, guilty, shameful, etc. Our behavior may reflect our mental state. Sometimes we behave inappropriately, react according to our personality and regret it later.

Do you want your employees to take charge of their behavior? Do you want your employees to perform at work with less stress and emotionally stable mind despite the external disturbances?

This workshop creates awareness of how thinking- feeling- behaviour happens and how we can take charge of our thoughts and feelings.

3. The Cognitive Triad & Irrational Thinking Workshop

Know the real cause of your team’s unhappiness. Different people react to the same situation in different ways. Some get motivated and get charged after facing a failure, and some may even take an extreme step. Each team member responds to the same problem differently, depending on their paradigms and biases.

This workshop makes the employees understand the root cause of their unhappiness. A major cause of stress and unhappiness is our irrational thinking as prescribed by Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) principles:

  • Demandingness
  • Low frustration index
  • Catastrophizing
  • All or nothing thinking

Get a deeper knowledge of these aspects of irrational thinking.

4. Circle of Concern and Circle of Influence Workshop

The Circle of concern includes a whole range of things – wars between countries, poverty, population explosion in certain countries, and reduced population in others. These things are beyond our control, and there is little we can do about it.

A circle within this circle is the Circle of Influence. The things that we can do something about. For example, our health, routine, discipline, diet, self-development, healthy relationships, etc. When we focus on the Circle of influence, rather than spending our energy on the Circle of Concern, we start empowering ourselves. There are several ways of doing this.

This workshop helps the teams unleash their potential and understand more about how to empower each individual by expanding their Circle of influence, by working on their strengths to empower themselves and by becoming aware, and by working proactively towards improving on the challenges.

5. Time Management and Procrastination Workshop

Make your employees understand the four zones in which they spend their time. Everyone has 24 hours, some people cruise through the to-do lists and are always ahead of their schedules, and some always struggle to find time for essential tasks and hardly get things done on time. What do people do differently to manage time efficiently? Lack of time management can be a significant cause of stress and a suboptimal lifestyle.

Another serious problem related to time management is procrastination. Procrastination is ususally dismissed by labelling  it as laziness. This workshop helps the employees understand the process of procrastination and how it happens step by step. Awareness enables people to break free of unwanted habits and empowers them, making them more efficient.

Unleash your team’s potential now by giving them exposure about Time Management & Procrastination.

6. Emotional Intelligence Workshop

Emotional Intelligence or EI is the ability to understand and manage your emotions and those of the people around you. People with high emotional intelligence know what they’re feeling, what their emotions mean, and how these emotions can affect other people. There are four aspects of EI: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and social management.

According to research, EI is one of the strongest predictors of performance in all jobs. Many companies are now measuring Emotional Quotient in the hiring or promotion process. As business requires relationships to function efficiently, EI is becoming as important as technical ability in hiring. Improving EI involves learning how to manage and relieve stress, thus directly related to physical health. An inability to understand and manage our emotions can lead to mood swings and prevent us from forming healthy relationships, leaving us potentially lonely and isolated. Through understanding our feelings and how to control them, we learn how to express how we feel and understand how others feel.

The best thing about EI is that it can be tested and improved. Take the standardized Emotional Intelligence test now to embark upon the journey of self-development!

7. “Towards a Happier and More Secure Me!” Workshop

Research says that employees work best when they feel happy, and enjoy emotional stibility. This workshop is specially designed to understand why happiness eludes us when we want to feel happy all the time? What causes unhappiness, and can we improve our happiness index?

Help your employees understand the phenomenon of joy through this Happiness workshop. Know the different categories of problems that we humans face now and then. This workshop helps them take charge of their happiness, create it and make it stay.

8. Design Thinking Workshop (Based on a short course at IIM Ahmedabad)

Design thinking is the process of approaching a creative design project. It involves five steps:

  1. The first step is to understand the user.
  2. The next step is to identify or define the problem.
  3. The third step is designing through ideation
  4. The next step is prototyping the product
  5. The final stage is testing the product.

The process is not linear and involves back-and-forth iteration to fine-tune the design.

Design thinking is a breakthrough and innovative process to approach design and involves a deep understanding of people using the design. It offers a great creative stimulus to think outside the box and look at the same problems from different perspectives. The process intensively makes the designers identify and fine-tune the actual problem that needs to be solved by keeping the assumptions aside.

Let the creative juices flow through a hands-on, experimentative, all-immersive Design Thinking workshop.
